Join us for the 4th Annual World Heritage Festival, September 4-8, 2019! The World Heritage Festival is an annual collaborative event to celebrate and promote our San Antonio Missions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and raise funds to preserve, promote, and connect.

MINT COIN FORUM

The coin forum is hosted by the United States Mint and offers an opportunity for the public to learn about upcoming United States Mint coin programs and initiatives, and express their views about future coinage before the launch ceremony on September 5, 2019. Free and open to the public.

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL QUARTERS PROGRAM SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK QUARTER LAUNCH CEREMONY

The America the Beautiful Quarter Launch Ceremony is hosted by the National Parks Service and the US Mint. The free event will include an exchange of $10 rolls of newly minted San Antonio Missions quarters after the ceremony. The San Antonio Missions National Historical Park quarter is the 49th release in the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program, a 12-year initiative that honors 56 national parks and other national sites. Each year until 2020, the public will see five new national sites depicted on the reverses (tails sides) of the America the Beautiful Quarters. A final coin will be released in 2021. The United States Mint is issuing these quarters in the order in which the national sites were officially established.

Mission Heritage Partners and the Texas Culinary Alliance will create a unique experience that combines the beauty of Texas’ only UNESCO World Heritage site, the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, with the city’s unique cultural food traditions and its designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. A limited number of tickets will be available soon for this inaugural event! Check back for more details!

MUSIC AND MOVIE UNDER THE STARS

Mission Marquee Plaza, 3100 Roosevelt Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78214

Guests can enjoy an evening of Music and a Movie under the Stars, featuring live entertainment and the one-hour documentary of “The National Parks of Texas: In Contact with Beauty.” Connect with our Military Historians and Veterans and learn about our city’s rich military history. This free family-friendly event will be filled with fun interactive activities, pop-up vendors, food trucks, and refreshments. Celebrate our local heritage with food, music, and fun! Free and open to the public.

REHABARAMA

Mission District, San Antonio, Texas 78214

Rehabarama is a single-day service event that brings together local contractors, volunteer groups, and students to perform repairs and Maintenance on historic and aging homes spanning two city blocks near the Mission Concepción. 300 volunteers – 20 houses – 1 day! Tour de Las Misiones is a one of a kind opportunity to visit and learn about historic San Antonio Missions. This Bike Ride Tour, Walk and Run will feature tour guide escorts. All events will begin and end at Mission Park Pavilion #1.

CELEBRATORY MASS



In partnership with Las Misiones, a celebratory mass will take place in recognition of the World Heritage UNESCO designation as a World Heritage Site. Sunday Mass will be held at Nuestra Señora de la Purísma Concepción, also known as Mission Concepción.
